Welcome to the Howland Troop 122 Website !

Welcome to the Howland BSA Troop 122 website! BSA Troop 122 is chartered by the Howland United Methodist Chuch, located at 730 Howland-Wilson Road in Warren, Ohio. We are part of the Arrowhead District of the Greater Western Reserve Council.

Troop 122 serves youth in Howland, Vienna, and the surrounding communities to further the Mission of the Boy Scouts of America:  To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. 

Complete Safety Afloat Training - Online

We recommend all Scouts attending the August 1-3 canoe outing complete Safety Afloat training.  The training is available online at myscouting.org.  Here are the steps to completing the training:

Fundraiser Prep...we need some ground beef!

In preparation for our upcoming fundraiser, we need each Scout to bring 2 pounds of ground beef to his patrol meeting at the church on 08/07/14  for browning.  If you are unable to attend the partoil meeting, please make arrangements with a Scoutmaster to handoff your ground beef prior to 08/07/14 so the patrols can prep.  Thanks!

Beaumont Scout Reservation Special Camps for 2014

During the off season, Beaumont will offer program camps and trainings. During these themed weekends the opportunity for advancement, achievements, and merit badge requirements will be covered during the event.

New Troop Neckerchiefs

New Troop neckerchiefs are in!  Every Scout receives a free neckerchief when joining the troop.  New/Replacement neckerchiefs are $15 and are available in regular size and oversize. 

Family Night at Beaumont Scout Reservation

Family Night at Beaumont Scout Reservation is Thursday, July 10, 2014.  Please try to arrive about 4:30-5:00 pm at Camp Beaumont (directions are on Troop website).  There will be staff there to direct you to parking and our campsite.  The Troop will be having a potluck picnic dinner for everyone on  family night.  The Troop will be making chicken wings and the White's and Hardy's will be bringing Sunrise chicken.  We are asking that everyone else bring a covered dish to camp that night.

Beaumont Scout Reservation is located in Rock Creek, OH on State Route 45, 7 miles south of Interstate 90.  A map of driving directions is attached.
